I think Japan would be the same if he won, once he had died, possibly by assassination considering how hateful the men of Mikawa would have been. Then the Toyotomi legacy would fade. However, Hideoyshi's incompetent seeming next-in-line would have probably ruled for about, well, less than Mitsuhide did. The vast majority was for Ieayasu sadly. I personally prefer the Hideyoshi clan to the Tokugawa.
